Starting a New Career

Listed Below are some helpful resources:

CONSULTING

We all know that there are many consultants in our industry right now – but that doesn’t mean that you don’t have something marketable to offer. Before you consider hanging up the shingle, consider your unique skills, how you could use them, and the benefit to your potential clients. Most importantly, understand how you will obtain work. What will your marketing strategy be? Are you networked? What is your industry reputation?

Call friends and colleagues that are consulting and ask for advice and information on how they structured their companies and contracts. If you determine that you do want to consult and enter the world of self-employment, review the article and resources on this site for additional information.

More specific resources on getting started, legal issues and accounting requirements to be included in the next website release.
